Anastasia grew up outside of Toronto, ON. She completed a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Guelph and continued on to complete her master’s in counselling psychology through Yorkville University. Her career in mental health began as a Personal Support Worker, where she assisted individuals with severe mental and developmental delays. From there, Anastasia went on to work in clinical research investigating novel pharmacological treatments on treatment-resistant depression. While she found the research work rewarding, she missed the personal connections she developed in client-facing roles. This led to her pursuit of a career in counselling.
Anastasia takes a strength-based, client-centered approach to therapy. Her treatment is integrative, drawing on various therapeutic modalities, including Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Anastasia works with clients who struggle with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, people-pleasing tendencies, trauma, and emotion regulation. Anastasia values a strong therapeutic relationship as she believes it is essential that clients feel safe to be vulnerable when engaging in emotional exploration. Anastasia’s goal is to guide clients as they explore the challenges they face, while walking alongside them on their unique path to healing, growth, and self-improvement.
Outside of work, Anastasia enjoys hiking, down-hill skiing, spending time with friends and family and her beloved cat.
