Dr. Seth Means was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming. He attended the University of North Dakota where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Sports Medicine at University of Western States.
Dr. Means is an athlete at heart, playing baseball for NJCAA Division I Dodge City CC and NCAA Division I for the University of North Dakota. His experience with baseball related injuries led him to understand the value of sports chiropractic. He witnessed first hand how his own sports related injuries were diagnosed and treated, which allowed him to perform better and recover faster.
He completed his professional chiropractic and masters degree, but his education didn’t stop after school. He has completed numerous post doctorate level certifications and courses, including; Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, myofascial release techniques, Motion Palpation Institute, Rock Tape Performance Movement Technique, Ultimate Back Fitness with Dr. Stuart McGill, Accelerated Rehab with Dr. Jason Brown, Stecco Fascial Manipulation, Titleist Performance Institute level 1, Dry Needling (DCs not currently able to perform dry needling in BC) with Kineticore Level 1 among others. The wide variation of techniques allows Dr. Means to utilize the best of the current evidence based practices.
Dr. Means has provided care with a wide variety of athletes ranging from NFL players, PGA and Korn Ferry golfers, professional rodeo cowboys, as well as local and everyday athletes.
After practicing the last 5 years in Portland, OR and Denver, CO Dr. Means is excited to settle down with his wife Dr. Courtney Means, DC in West Kelowna and enjoy the vast opportunity for golf and outdoor activities.
